  • Students will be able to match codons with anticodons.
  • Students will deduce from information that is provided, that proteins are composed of amino acids that are built from codons.

I will review the previous days lesson and notes
I will display notes on tRNA and translation
Students will receive handouts with a DNA genetic code. They will work with partners to transcribe and translate the strand.
Students will refer to a key to determine what A.A’s the genes code for and they will decode the strand.


Assignment:
Students will be evaluated on their accuracy to identify the amino acids that the codons code for
